Evan is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker known for strong comedic performances mixed with rich visual storytelling. He recently co-executive produced, wrote and directed an original, ten-episode comedy series for TBS Networks about real life internet trolls.
Evan earned a 2016 Cannes Lion in talent and visual storytelling for his “Whopper of Hotdogs” video for Burger King, starring Snoop Dogg. His commercial, “White Squad” for MTV’s social arm, thinkdifferent.org won a One Show pencil and landed on both Mashable and The Observer’s “Best Ads of 2015″ lists.
Evan’s work has been honored by the Emmys, Cannes, AICP, Clios, Webby, One Show, One Show Interactive, PromaxBDA, Addys, Communication Arts and Glaad. He was also selected into Shoot Magazine’s New Directors Showcase and has spoken to audiences about his work at the DGA and F5 Festival in NYC.
Evan got his start working as a writer at some of NYC’s top creative ad agencies. He quickly honed his comedy and directing skills at MTV’s famed on-air promos, working directly with top celebrity talent in film, comedy, and music. While at MTV, Evan directed hundreds of promos and videos including a six-spot campaign starring Aziz Ansari and a three-minute, in-show comedy sketch that appeared as part of the 2014 MTV Movie Awards (starring Conan O’Brien with Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield, and Jamie Fox).
Evan has been commissioned to write and direct content for ad agencies, movie studios, TV networks and record labels. He has worked with top brands such as Nike, Audi, X-box, Comedy Central, Ford, Budweiser, Honda, Microsoft, ESPN, and HBO. And advertising agencies including Weiden+Kennedy, Mother NY, Venables Bell & Partners, TBWA\Chiat Day, Pereira & O’Dell, Deutsch, O&M, Party NY, Mekanism and Anomaly.
