Born and raised in New York City, Arianna’s directing style combines years of experience in the field as a documentary storyteller with the cinematic technique she first honed as a director of photography. Her work has taken her to more than fifty countries, from directing crews in the sewers beneath London, to a locked down “clean room” at the NASA space center in Houston. She’s embedded with female Kurdish soldiers fighting ISIS in Syria and Iraq and documented the effects of Rhino poaching in South Africa. Her focus is on stories about possibility, highlighting the bold work of artists, revolutionaries and change-makers in diverse and often challenging environments. She most recently directed the Netflix series “Pandemic: How to Prevent an Outbreak”, and her recent commercial work includes a film for Google’s “Search On” series, West Elm’s “Design to Impact” campaign in India, and a short doc for Ford about the future of mobility in cities. She’s also directed and shot for The New York Times, Al Jazeera, Viceland, National Geographic and Showtime and brands including Bulleit Whiskey, Tillamook, Activia, and Poo-pouri.
